About Us

Our Minister

Rev. Betsi Thane is originally from Poland and holds a Master’s degree in Education from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. After moving to Germany to study the language, she met her husband Markus, and together they welcomed their daughter, Sara Michelle.

In 2007, the family relocated to Texas before settling in Scotland, where Betsi worked in childcare and taught Polish and German to adults. Sensing a call to ministry, she began her theological training at the University of Glasgow and completed her probation at West Kilbride Parish Church.

Betsi was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in January 2020 and moved to Malta soon after, where she continues to serve with joy and dedication.

Kirk Session Elders

Our church operates under a unified constitution that encompasses the principles of both parent churches; the Church of Scotland and the Methodist Church.

Leading our congregation is the esteemed Kirk Session, a dedicated team of elders, alongside our Minister who serves as the Moderator. Their expertise and commitment ensure efficient and comprehensive management of our church affairs.
