About Us

Our minister

Rev. Betsi Thane originates from Poland. 

She studied and obtained her Masters in Education at the University of Nikolaus Copernicus, Torun.

Betsi moved to Germany to learn the language, where she met her husband, Markus, and had their daughter Sara Michelle.  

In 2007 the family moved to Texas, USA and two years later they moved to Scotland. 

Betsi worked as a childcare practitioner and as a teacher of Polish and German to adults.

When Betsi discerned her call, she started her Theology studies at the University of Glasgow and began training as a Minister of Word and Sacrament.   She graduated in June 2018 and finished her probation at West Kilbride Parish Church in November 2019.

Betsi was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in January 2020 and moved to Malta at the end of February 2020.

Please note that Friday is the day off for our Minister.

Kirk Session

Our church operates under a unified constitution that encompasses the principles of both parent churches. Leading our congregation is the esteemed Kirk Session, a dedicated team of elders, both men and women, who serve for life but rotate their roles on the Session every five to ten years.

Within the Kirk Session, each member assumes a specific area of responsibility, such as finance, missions, communications, and more. Their expertise and commitment ensure efficient and comprehensive management of our church affairs.

Presently, our Kirk Session comprises four esteemed individuals, alongside our Minister who serves as the Moderator.
